Someone actually sent me something other than an A1466 for once.
This one had a little bit of something get in through the back as usual and caused corrosion on 3 resistors, apple told him just to buy a new laptop, didn’t even quote for the cost of a replacement mainboard, a replacement one of these machines costs $1500 give or take a little and a replacement board costs the best part of $1000, total cost of the replacement resistors is less than 5c, probably used 50c worth of flux and the time to do it. The result is one working laptop and one very happy customer.
