So This guy bought a faulty Xbox Series X on Ebay which you can get for a bit less than half the cost of a new console, looks like he was lucky and it really was a console that nobody attempted to repair, he was hoping he just needed a new power supply but he tested the power supply and found the 12v power cable from the power supply was not shorted but the power connectors on the mainboard were shorted, so something somewhere on the main power rail is shorted.

Those capacitors are 25v 10uf for anyone needing to know, there are schematics for these boards circulating online and that’s how I found out, for perspective those capacitors cost approx 20c each if you buy a spool of 100 from mouser so I spent 40c worth of caps replacing the failed one and the innocent bystander right next to it.
